Gold Squadron Attack Run

Fan art of one of my favourite, and one of the most underrated, vehicles in the Star Wars universe: the Y Wing. The Koensayr manufactured multirole starfighter played a crucial if not unglamorous role as the backbone of its heavy ordnance strike force and suffered heavy losses throughout some of the Rebellion's most crucial battles, most notably in the Battle of Yavin. Design wise it has always stood out to me for both its elegance and its plodding ruggedness, like a dignified pre-WW2 plane pressed into service against much sleeker, faster opponents.
