Another exciting design challenge was the underwater shatter gun used by the player when the dive suit is equipped. We wanted to bring out its functional nature as a heavy duty tool for clearing underwater obstructions as opposed to a lethal weapon. Flipping it over with its barrels underneath as opposed to a normal firearm solved this partially, as well as creating some interest in allowing the player to see the hand operate it in VR. VR was also another design parameter, the tool not extending much further past the wrist.
